Service offered: The AFL has developed an innovative approach to education which specialises in blending mainstream education requirements with individualised support. This enables the AFL to create a stimulating and effective learning environment with play and discipline as core foundations. Each child is treated as an individual and their daily learning program is developed around their personal needs and learning styles. Learning program’s are designed around the following skills: speech and communication, cognitive, behavioural, social, emotional, sensory and physical. We follow the CAPS curriculum and offer from Grade R to Grade 7. We also offer a Special Education Needs Coordination Unit (SENCO) which caters for children who need more intense support or are following a fully individualised program. There are 8 - 10 learners per class.
